League City locals may live in a picturesque part of Texas, but they’re not immune to the heartaches of being human. If you’re experiencing mental health challenges, you’re in good company: racing thoughts, potent sadness, troubling trauma, and everyday conflict are commonplace. I focus on sessions designed for creatives, explorers, and diverse minds looking to discover all the parts of yourself . . . from what makes you tick to what ticks you off, and I infuse my sessions with compassion, genuine connection, hope, and space for life’s messiness. With personalized care, holistic and practical strategies, and a plan that celebrates your strengths, quirks, and craftiness, we’ll forge a path forward.

League City’s Coastal Capers, Natural Wonder, and Whimsical Waterways

League City is an up-and-coming, peaceful, and attractive waterfront community teetering between an urban utopia and a beachside escape. Nestled among creeks, lakes, bays, and bayous, and covered in stately oak trees and magnificent magnolias, it offers a strong coastal feel, shaded, serene seclusion, and easy access to waterside adventure. This town is a popular attraction for boaters, anglers, jet skiers, and kayakers. As part of the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, it also offers plenty of avian antics for passionate birdwatchers, providing a chance to spy everything from hawks, mockingbirds, and doves to herons, pelicans, geese, and orioles. Outdoor lovers especially enjoy the Clear Creek Paddle Trail, spending hours winding through marshes, wetlands, and coastal habitats.

Back on land, locals and visitors frequent a welcoming, walkable downtown full of cozy restaurants, family-owned boutiques, historic buildings, and nostalgic nods to the city’s railroad past. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm, hosting community events, parades, farmers’ markets, and holiday celebrations. Although the city feels worlds apart from metropolitan mayhem, it’s a gateway to Houston, located roughly 25 miles away. This well-rounded town attracts many urban professionals and students, giving them a place to go for the weekend, spend their summer, or set down roots outside of the hustle and bustle of a southern powerhouse. League City is also home to retirees, families, veterans, and aerospace engineers.

ADHD-Focused Care

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is a common neurodevelopmental condition with a varied presentation where different people exhibit different symptoms. Some of those affected may experience challenges with concentration, focus, and forgetfulness, while others may experience hyperactivity or impulsivity. Although ADHD is often thought of as a childhood diagnosis, it’s become increasingly recognized in adults.

Selective Mutism-Focused Care

Selective Mutism is a disorder that primarily affects children. Characterized by the inability to speak in certain situations (such as social contexts, when called upon in class, or in unfamiliar environments), it is driven by anxiety, fear, or discomfort. It’s a condition that is often misunderstood . . . with those impacted labeled as defiant or rebellious.

Autism-Focused Care

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a life-impacting condition that influences a person’s ability to communicate, understand social cues, and interact with others. True to its name, it exists on a spectrum, with some people experiencing minor challenges and others experiencing more severe difficulties. Those impacted often exhibit repetitive behaviors, varied processing patterns, interpersonal challenges, and sensory struggles.

Anxiety-Focused Care

Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health challenges here and throughout Texas. Depending on the specific condition, disorders can manifest as phobias, perpetual and unwarranted worries, obsessive thinking, rituals, or fear related to certain contexts (such as social interaction). The anxiety experienced may range from bothersome but manageable to life-altering.

Trauma-Focused Care

Trauma is a physiological, emotional, or psychological reaction to an overwhelming, distressing, or painful event or series of events. Trauma can involve physical experiences, such as a natural disaster, an attack, or an injury; it can also be brought about by sudden grief and loss or less obvious distress, such as workplace or school bullying, relationship instability, or financial worries. Those affected by trauma may experience hypervigilance, anxiety, numbness, detachment, avoidance issues, or problems with focus, sleep, and everyday responsibilities.

Mood Disorders-Focused Care

Mood disorders encompass a broad range of symptoms, including hopelessness, malaise, and depression or, on the opposite end, mania and euphoria. Among the most common mood disorders are Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder, conditions that can drastically impact everyday functioning, relationships, career or school, interests and hobbies, and overall life enjoyment.

Transformative Therapy, From the Inside Out

I’ve dedicated my professional life to helping overthinkers, neurodiverse clients, traumatized souls, and those with minds that struggle to turn off, calm down, or regulate. For more than two decades, my clients have been able to feel seen and heard, tap into their talents, and better manage symptoms, challenges, and underlying conditions. My background is primarily as a systems therapist working with layered people where, together, we peel back the complexities to discover the core underneath. I’m here to help you foster groundedness and insight while gaining clarity, confidence, and coping skills and believe therapy is most powerful when it combines evidence-based care with imagination, offering a best-of-both-worlds experience to those in League City and beyond.

I often collaborate with other professionals, working with psychiatrists, doctors, and teachers, as well as parents and guardians as a passionate advocate for my clients. I encourage you to see your strengths, understand yourself on a deeper level, and expand your capacity for joy.
